I've seen this sort of post on other pagan forums so I thought it might be an idea for ours - books that are absolute fluffy crap that should be avoided at all costs. Here are a few of my pet hates: Books by Silver RavenWolf or those with similarly ridiculous names. Anything with 'love' and 'spells' involved in any order in the title or subtitle. '1001' spell guides or books preaching 'easy' magick - bollocks. 'single spell pots/boxes' - hahaha 95% books about 'angel' or 'faerie' magick have no clue what they're on about. tread with caution. Books that mention the word 'genie' anywhere in their contents. Feel free to add your own

Anything that says to do magick propperly you MUST be naked - These books are written by dirty old men/women on a bit of a power binge.
Anything to do with GriS-Gris Magick - They have some useful tips but not enough in one book to warrent buying that book.

I would add, DO read these books, they will change your view on pagan and occult practices, they can be useful and will help make you more aware of what's out there just try and not pay a lot for them if you have to pay at all.

I would add, don't pay for these books, unless they're the same price as toilet paper, and you desire to use them for this function only.

Lol, fun though that may be, I like to treat books with respect, however much they may be utter wank a lot of work has gone into them. But I would agree with Suzie in that I'd borrow or get these books for free rather than pay.
