The Key of Solomon
Translated by S. Liddell MacGregor Mathews.
ISBN - 10: 0-87728-931-X
After talking with John in another thread I decidedc to re-read the Key of Solomon... My God I'd forgotten how anal it was.
Don't get me wrong, this book is amazing as a basis for occult knowledge and working, with it's planetary correspondances and circle construction etc. but it does over complicate things in my view.
For example, not indulging in pleasures of the flesh for nine days prior to an "experiment", then fasting for the final 3 days, bathing in exorcised water and wearing white linen robes.
Still, the book remains a fascinating read and has given me lots of new ideas I want to try out, the first being to design and construct my own, personalised circle, for magickal workings.
A great addition to the pagan/occult bookshelf.

The title looks like the latin name for some sort of disease.
